Dark Castle & Beyond Dark Castle on an emulated 1986 Macintosh Plus

You'll need a mouse and keyboard. Dark Castle and Beyond Dark Castle are played with the keyboard and mouse together, so they can't be played on a phone or tablet touch screen.

On a computer you can play them right here, or download the files and play in Mini vMac on your PC.

This browser can't run the emulator. It's missing a feature the emulator needs (). Try a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, or download the files and play in Mini vMac instead.

  2. Double-click the Dark Castle or Beyond Dark Castle folder, then double-click the game's castle icon.
  3. Click past the title screen and press Play.
  4. During a game, Alt+Q (the Mac's ⌘+Q) goes back to the game's menu. Click Quit there to return to the desktop and open the other game.
